Snowy Day Pies
I’ve been busy but not posting as much! We’re having our first big snow fall today! I woke up early to make a breakfast quiche and a chocolate chip pie! The quiche is the same crustless quiche that I have been making since the holidays. This morning I added an extra egg, onions, parsley, chickenContinue reading “Snowy Day Pies”
Christmas Breakfast Quiche
More posts to come later today but I’m quickly getting this recipe out in case someone is looking for a lovely breakfast. This can further be individualized on each plate. Many of us put sriracha on top. My son had olives on the side. My husband had a nice serving of feta cheese. Overall thisContinue reading “Christmas Breakfast Quiche”
Happy Holidays
In a move to normalize homemade gifts or small tokens of love and appreciation, I made 4 mixed fruit galettes for gifts to my friends. It is this point in the morning when I realize that I should have made 5! The crusts have buckwheat flour and whole wheat flour incorporated with white flour intoContinue reading “Happy Holidays”

Chicken Pot Pie
I bought this chicken pot pie at Harvey’s Farm, one of my favorite farm stands. I thought it would be a great quick dinner and so I tried it tonight. My kids couldn’t say enough good things about it, though they did tell me that mine is much better. Of course they would say that!
Peach Buckle
I have a ton of peaches that we harvested from a local farm so I decided to make some peach buckle this morning. Are use my traditional Buckle recipe and then put peaches on the top. I broiled just a few minutes to caramelize the topping.
Grad School Quiche
Today I stopped by a grocery chain that I used to shop in graduate school. In the case! There it was! My favorite spinach quiche that I bought in those past days. I needed to get one to share with my family. Again, they felt that it isn’t as good as mine but still tasty.
Nourse Farm‘s Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
I stopped by my local farm stand to grab some cookies for a party and fell in live with this beautiful strawberry rhubarb pie with a crumb crust. As you can see, we immediately cut into it!
