Irish Soda Bread
I did an online class today through Craft at Chatham to make Irish Soda Bread. The class gave us two versions so I made both. One is a brown soda bread and the other is sweeter with currents and orange juice. Yum! This was the perfect side for our holiday corned beef and cabbage.

Pie Differences
I tend to vary my pies to cobbles, buckles, and crisps during various seasons. I’ve even dabbled making a pandowdy. This graphic illustrates the differences perfectly. For Thanksgiving a pie is traditional but vary it bit to include other varieties. Personally this is inspiring me to make a pear cobbler.
Kate McDermott Demo
Tonight, Kate McDermott gave a virtual demo tonight through the North Olympic Library System for a one cup dough to ultimately demonstrate a lattice top pie. I was lucky enough to get the invitation and then was lucky enough to get into the demo.

Impromptu Demo with Kate
I was looking through Facebook. Kate McDermott came on to do an impromptu dough rolling demonstration. she demonstrated how to fix rips, tears and holes in dough rolling. She was as informative as ever! I can’t wait to do some of this at home!
Book Sale Find
I found this yesterday at my local library books sale. I can’t wait to take it all in and try some of the recipes today. I didn’t know anything about the Little Pie Company but I’m excited to try it the next time I am in New York.
