Housewarming Gift
My friends moved houses across town. I wanted to make them something special. When I found large cookie cutters set with both a house and a holiday tree, I envisioned this pie. Pie Differences
I tend to vary my pies to cobbles, buckles, and crisps during various seasons. I’ve even dabbled making a pandowdy. This graphic illustrates the differences perfectly. For Thanksgiving a pie is traditional but vary it bit to include other varieties. Personally this is inspiring me to make a pear cobbler.
Oil Crust Pie
I made two attempts at using oil instead of butter or crisco. This morning I made a tart but could only press in the crust. In the afternoon, I tried again using another recipe when I made this gorgeous mixed fruit pie. I’ll post the recipes soon as I’m too bust eating now!

Another Mulberry Pie!
Last week when I made a mulberry pie, I made another pie for the freezer. This pie went into the oven on Friday night for our appetizer and dessert dinner to kickstart the holiday weekend.
