I’m a bit late in posting these beautiful hand pies that I bought at the supermarket. Actually very, very late. I bought these in November. I fully intended to make hand pies that weekend but the weekend was too busy as we suddenly had COVID in the house.
Everyone is better now and the hand pies were the remedy. Well not actually but they helped. I realize that I undervalue the quality of the bakery in my grocery store. Their hand pies were constructed from puff pastry and are filled raspberry and strawberry preserves, and one could easily replicate the recipe with store bought puff pastry and jam.
