Cheeseburger Pie

To my knowledge, this recipe really doesn’t have a name but someone recently posted it in a site that I follow. I remember that my grandmother would make this with which ever vegetables she happen to have on hand. I’m calling this a cheeseburger pie. My family loved it when I made this for a quick dinner last week on a busy school night.

Essentially it is ground beef with chopped onions, peppers, garlic, diced tomatoes, and parsley. I added pepper paste to the sauté pan. I added it to a single a pie shell and folded it into a galette. I switched out some of white flour for whole wheat flour to the crust. I brushed the edges with egg and scattered sesame seeds.

I baked the galette at 375 for around 40 minutes plus a few additional minutes to give it some nice color.

I used vegan cheese on top and so it doesn’t melt as nicely as regular cheese
