I tend to vary my pies to cobbles, buckles, and crisps during various seasons. I’ve even dabbled making a pandowdy.
This graphic illustrates the differences perfectly. For Thanksgiving a pie is traditional but vary it bit to include other varieties. Personally this is inspiring me to make a pear cobbler.
